Junpei Shiina will be appearing as a guest on TBS Radio's popular Sunday evening music program "Takahashi Yoshiaki Happy Sad," on October 30.

Music journalist Yoshiaki Takahashi hosts this music program, which also serves up in-depth talk on musicians past and present. You can look forward to a distinctive song list chosen by Junpei, a guest on the show, and unconstrained musical discourse from Takahashi.

Dezille Brothers Have Arrived!

Essence is in short supply on Japan’s music scene. If you have this grievance, then a perfect band has just arrived for you: Dezille Brothers.

Junpei Shiina has gallantly assembled a few men of exceptional ability: SWING-O a.k.a. 45, Tomoyasu Takeuchi, Wataru Suzuki and Shirane Yoshitaka. These rambunctious gentlemen perform soul, funk and hip hop with a cool, rich, irresistible Japanese sound that will make you leap up and shout, ‘Now this is what I was waiting for.’ And, you won’t be the only one.

First up is the band’s debut performance at the Countdown Japan festival on December 28.

Junpei Shiina & The Soul Force To Rock the Rising Sun 2010

Junpei Shiina & The Soul Force will be appearing at the annual summer rock-a-palooza in Hokkaido, the one and only Rising Sun Rock Festival 2010 in Ezo. Junpei and the band will be serving up a slow-cooked curried masala of soul, funk and jazz that is hot yet oh so cool. Tabu Zombie and Motoharu of Soil & "Pimp" Sessions provide pungent accents. Rehearsals are proceeding smoothly. They'll be there, on the docks of Ishikari, waiting for you, on Saturday, August 14.
